Paddington review

I would like to start with apologising for not blogging in awhile inspiration has been running low lately but I'll try to blog a few more things before the new year :)

Today I went to go see Paddington with my friend now I know what you're thinking I must be the most immature 17 year old (18 in 1 month) in the world but I like to think Paddington has a little bit of British culture (after all he is named after Paddington Station in London) and who doesn't like a little cute bear who loves marmalade and wears a cute blue duffel coat.

I highly recommend seeing Paddington it stars Hugh Bonneville, Nicole Kidman, Peter Capaldi, Matt Lucas and Julie Walters and is heart warming fun for everyone and Capaldi is rather quite hilarious in it as he tries to win the affections of Kidman in humorous ways for example when he gives her withered flowers that he found tied to a lamp post and simply says "waste not want not". If you don't know about Paddington he is an orphan bear who lives with his Aunt Lucy and Uncle Pastuzo in darkest Peru, an explorer goes out to Peru and meets Aunt Lucy and Uncle Pastuzo and teaches the bears about London and gives them a taste of marmalade which the bears find out they love when the explorer leaves he gives Uncle Pastuzo his red hat which is passed down to Paddington and becomes his trademark look.

There is quite a gross bit in the film where the Brown family have taken him into their home and Mrs.Brown asks him if he wants to freshen up so he goes to the bathroom and thinks the toothbrushes are for his ears and then he licks his ear wax which made me cringe but it leads to hilarious consequences where he ends up getting his head stuck in the toilet and flooding the whole bathroom to the point where he is floating around in the bathroom just after Mr. Brown has phoned his house insurance company asking if the policy protects against damages done by bears.

However I do find the fact that nobody in the film bats an eyelid at a talking bear walking around on two legs in London. When Paddington arrives at the train station and the Brown family walk past him the father just says to his family "stranger danger just a bear probably trying to sell something" like its the norm, I do recommend this film 5 out of 5 though as its adorable and hilarious.
Mucho love
